Use Intel or native MS drivers for Intel SSD's?

Just wondering if I should go and download the latest drivers from Intel for my Intel 80 Gig SSD drive, or if I'd have better stability/trim functionality by staying with Microsoft's default drivers. This is on Windows 7 - 64bit.

Also, should I have S.M.A.R.T. monitoring on or off in the BIOS for this drive?

Just stay with the MS driver, no need to install others. You can try if you like once you are sure that the drive is working properly but I haven't bothered installing chipset driver, I still use the MS one.
