Hi,

I have a 160gb intel x-25m ssd and have just currently got the firmware that came with it, version: 2CV102G9

I am wondering if people have a list of firmware versions and what is included with them so I can see if it is worth updating?

And also does a firmware update require a full format?

thanks in advance

Yes, it's definitely worth updating the firmware from 2CV102G9 to 2CV102HD. New firmware version 02HD together with the updating tool v1.5 should give your 160GB SSD an ~40% sequential write boost. And No, a firmware update doesn't require a "full format" for a single drive not in a RAID array. But before updating the firmware backup any data you don't want to lose, just in case something should go wrong during the process.
