Anyone see the ATI Radeon 8500 w/ 128 MB of ram? Wonder what that'll do for performance...:)
Yeah I read about them. I can't believe ATI is doing this to me. I wanna go out and buy it and I just bought my Geforce 3 TI200. :(

What do you think it will score on the 3dmark2k1? same?
I don't think there will be a big increase in the benches. I don't think they can fully use the 128MB RAM yet.
That's just IMHO.....

The extra 64Mb will make little or no difference to performance with the current set of games. 3dMark should be no different. Until we get games/apps that actually need more than 64Mb of memory this is a waste. Plus I bet it won't overclock as well as the 64Mb counterpart.

Wouldn´t the dual head function benefit from the extra 64 Mb?

Actually if im not mistaken the 8500 was the one card alot of people said should have been released with 128mb ram cause it would make a difference. I can't remember specifics.

Yep... can't remember the actual speeds... but they are different... the retail 8500 is 275/275... the LE is like 230/230...
