9.5x @ 100fsb - 950mhz! (i need more read on...)

okay i've got a Abit VH6T w/ YR bios (1st release) w/ a celeron 633mhz @ 1.8v (highest volt available) it gets into windows (xp) highest at 950mhz (how stable it is i do not know) and i've got a cool-computers water cooling kit with a top exhaust 80mm fan w/ the side of the case off and a 12" house fan (at high) pushing directly on the mobo/vid/waterblock/rad and so on... i also took one of those generic green chipset heatsinks off an old motherboard and doubled the same generic heatsink that is on the VH6T northbridge (i do have a waterblock for the chipset i haven't installed yet) my idle temp right now is 23.7c at 950mhz (i've only been in for 20mins at this speed) and i also have pc150 OCZ cas2 256mb stick and 128mb stick w/ aluminum heatspreader, my question is how do i squeeze out even MORE speed.. do i need more voltage? install the waterblock for the northbridge? or have i reached the top? ....let me know your opinions ...thx! :D

Hi Inteleron,
I'm not experienced about water cooling, but I suppose that your chip needs more voltage to go higher, so consider the VidPinning mod for 1.9v, take a look here (http://www.hardocp.com/articles/intel_stuff/bumpvoltage.html) for more info ;)

thats a good oc!
you might get higher with a vmod but wow thats really pushing that cpu.in my opinion even with a vmod you wont go much higher without cousing harm to the cpu.
i dont see nothing wrong with what you are cooling with now.but to continue to go up with vmod you might need a pelt on the cpu to kool even lower.
i just did a overclock ratio for your cpu its 50.07% overclock thats darn good.
i myself wouldnt go anyhigher with anything unless i had a backup-cpu around.

Thanks for your help guys, gotta few questions now :D

Doors.. i went to that site at hardocp.com, and at 1st i thought i would just wrap the pins he wrapped, but when i went back and actully read it THOROUGHLY i see i think thats wrong... is this the right way...? ...Connect Vid2,Vid3 and VSS all together to reach a defualt voltage of 1.90v?? correct or no? (this is how i am reading it) tell me if i am right or wrong.. thanks :)

Deathstar.. you got a point buddy, so i dug out my old Celly 1 533mhz just incase i fry this bad boy, i have a 72watt pelt in the mail, i MAY wait to try the higher voltage until that arrives, oh and how did you/where did you get an overclock ratio? Thanks :)

Hi Inteleron,
you have to connect the VID3 pin to the Vss to get 1.9v, not the VID2, coz this pin is just internally connected to the Vss ;)

Last time I messed with a Celeron was quite a while ago. I had a C2-566 and ran it at 1020mhz using 1.9volts for a little over a year before I sold the rig. If I remember correct the fsb was at 120. For cooling I had a Alpha Pal 6035 with about a 30cfm fan. I never had any problems with this system but then again it was a great cpu. No guarentees that you will be as lucky. Unfortenately today the cpu is running much slower maybe not even overclocked, the guy I sold it to is CHICKEN! hehehehe

http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63093 is where i got my info.
now by whos standards that is im not to sure about.

now if i could just get a xp to oc like that i would be soooooo friggen happy!
