Okay so Im using Winows 7 Ultimate on a m3n78-emh hdmi mother board with a pcie nvidia geforce 8500 gt which does accept dual display, but is only has one vga plug in, so my main view is set to this of course, I plugged my other monitor into the onboard vga which isnt a lcd widescreen like this one and windows 7 does detech the screen, all the resolutions and refresh rates are set properly on it and I can even throw anything I want over on the monitor that doesnt display but yet acts as if dual display is working properly. any ideas it would all be perfect if it would just show picture, nothing is wrong with the monitor even when unplugged from vga it says no signal.. so it seems like the reolution is set wrong whihc cant be ive tried everything even tampering with bios video settings ... etccc HELP!:bang head

Assuming same result if you swap the monitors? Your best bet would be to get a DVI to VGA dongle for your 8500gt - it may have even come with the card. The only 8500GT I found that is still for sale has both a VGA and a DVI port.

yes same result, your right about the dvi to vga, it does have that port. its the 512mb version not bad, no issues other than this.

yeah so I figured out the problem and so im going ahead to play a game after everything was setup up nicely, firefox one side superpower2 the other and while im playing i decide I wanted to play a song so I went to the web browser and soon as I click on it the game minimized on my other screen, I have a amd athlon dual core 6000+ so should I be able to not have this happen easily? is there a fix for the needed multi tasking???
