Hello everybody!

I would like you to advice me about a new PSU for my PC (look at the signature), but good also for the next upgrade (2-3 years)...

I should/must choose between this four models:

1) OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular 1x6p 1x6+2p 6xSAT
2) OCZ ModXstream Pro 700W 1x6pin 1x6+2pin SLI Certif
3) COOLER MASTER GX 650W 80plus
4) COOLER MASTER GX 750W 80plus

Which is the best in your opinion?

I would get the GX 750W. It has the most power and is the best psu there. Also get more ram. I advise 6 gigs for triple channel

Is there a specific reason you must choose these particular models?
But regardless, I would probably go with the C.M 750w

Don't go for the OCZ models. As far as I know they sound good but the performance isn't great.

You only need a 650W for your rig (probably as low as 500W is needed) so the Coolermaster GX 650W would be best.

I would recommend the Corsair TX 650W (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-008-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=)

I believe the TX is better than the GX.

The reason is that I want to buy the psu in a shop of my city, not online, and the best shop in my city sells only this 4 psu for my budget (100 euro).

Do you know any better psu for that price? And why the CM GX 750?

I would also recommend the Corsair brand.

I picked the 750w incase later on you upgraded, maybe a cooling system and needed the extra room, it would only cost you $20 more, but otherwise if you are just sticking with that system then the 650w will suit your needs well, as tinymouse2 has said.

Yeah Corsair make top notch PSUs that seems to be a peg above everything else.

The Corsair TX750W is at 140 euro...it would be really very expensive for me...is it really so good?

You picked what appears to be frightningly mediocre PSU's up top. While Im sure they will work fine, do you really want to put an average part inside of such a nice PC? Do the right thing, grab a PSU from the approved list (see my signature) or just go with a Corsair.

Run on your liberty until you can afford a PSU on that list or the Corsair.

Just saying the Corsair TX 650W is a LOT more efficient than almost all other power supplies with the average around 85%.
The voltages are VERY good as well.

http://extreme.outervision.com/img/psu/corsair/tx650/test_chart.gif

+- 0.1V for 3V
+ 0.11V for 5V
+- 0.3V for the 12V

Compare that to the OCZ MODXSTREAM-PRO 600W

+ 0.6V for 3V
- 0.5V for 5V
+ 0.33V for 12V

So yeh, the Crosair PSUs are very good, AMAZINGLY high quality.

Here (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-008-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=) is the TX650W for under 100 Euros. Should be less than 8 euros for shipping

corsair is the best for sure. tagan is also quite good which is what I use. I wanted corsair but, mine is a 900w and the corsair 1000w was A LOT more expensive so....

I've been running my Corsair 750 for 2 years now and not a hiccup. Yes it is more money but kind of get what you pay for.

Also what do you want to do with your PC, water cooling, OC'ing, SLI/Crossfire, how many HDD's.

This will also dictate the wattage but if you keep you current setup the 650 like "tinymouse" suggested is also very good and is more than enough.

Your current PSU probably has similar performance to the suggested models in your first post. Please tell me you can select something else than those 4 choices.

As others have suggested, Corsair is a no brainer, but there is a list of kickbutt PSU's in my sig, same as in EarthDog's sig. I concur with EarthDog.

Ok guys, i decided to buy Corsair

But, i can decide between the tx750 (100 euro) and the hx750 (120 euro)...which is better? I saw that the hx750 is not listed in the "Recommended PSU"...

The HX is a very good high end unit while the TX is a very good mid range unit. Both have very good components but the HX is a newer and better design. When I bought my last PS it came down to the HX Corsair and the SeaSonic X series which are the two I consider the best in the 750 watt class.

If the HX is within your budget I would strongly recommend it over the TX since it has better electrical performance and is modular.

I don't know if I would agree with your high end/Mid range evaluation. Seasonic makes both HX and TX units, Channel Well makes both HX and TX units, To me it really boils down to modular vs non modular. I think the quality is pretty top notch all across the board with Corsair.

As far as I know all the TX are CWT as are the HX 750, 850 and 1000, The HX 650, 620 and 520 along with the CX 400 and VX 450 being the SeaSonic built units.

The HX 750 and 850 are built on the new CWT DSG platform while the TX are built on the much older PSH. You can check any good review of both and see the HX's have much better electrical performance.

While the Corsair TX series may be the best implementation of the PSH platform it's performance is not the equal of the top line units like Corsairs own HX, Antecs SG or SeaSonic's M/S12D and X series.
