Why do the whole heat spreader and all that, why not just slap a fan on top of the ram and be done w/ it? sounds alil more economical, ya the heatspreaders from thermaltake are only 10$ but geez, how many extra fans do you have just sitting around? i got 2 im not using right now..hmm...or...build a cover for the ram w/ a fan on top and holes in the bottom so cooler air will travel in and push the hot air out........
just thinking of creative options...anybody can do heatspreaders....who can do the homemade mod?
just a thought

Kind of the same thing as putting heat sinks on the video ards etc. When the guys start pushing say 170 and up over 200 fsb speeds at upwards of 3.2v then all starts to make sense. Now the combination of fans (I would prefer case) over the ram and heatsinks makes sense to me.
