Hi guys,

First time poster, have read a little bit on the OC Guide's that have been floating around on the net and I currently have the cpu overclocked at 3.8GHz. I'm sure the settings I am using could use more tweaking, so this is the reason for my posting. If there is anything you guys think I could do further or what settings you think I should change to achieve 4.0GHz that would be fantastic! :D

So whatever suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You in advance

Your 12GB of RAM will be your limiting factor as overclocking with that much RAM is tricky apparently... Are you wanting to OC higher? 3.8GHz is a respectable oc...

I figure I would try for 4.0GHz, do any of the settings I have in the bios need to tweaked at all?

You will probably need some more vcore... but you can bump up the bus clock, and if it fails to boot, then bump up the vcore...

Also, you my need a bump in northbridge voltage... overclocking and that 12GB RAM is gonna put a lot of stress on the northbridge... also keep an eye on how hot it gets, touch the heatsink, you may need to put a fan on it... i had to do that with mine coz my northbridge was overheating...
