Some guy wants me to build him a 'sweet ass rig' and I'm thinking about throwing in an AMD 965 and doing a GTX 260 SLI. How well does this card hold up in SLI compared to a single or double card solution for a similar price?

I would just get the single GTX 470:attn:

Yeah, unless you can get those 260's for dirt-cheap, I'd get a GTX 470. Should give better performance, and in a single card configuration to boot.

How well does the GTX 470 do in comparison to the 295? I know that the GTX 260 SLI does much quite a bit better than the GTX 295 for $100 cheaper. Just trying to weigh my options here to get him the best deal for his money (so I make more money), regardless of SLI or not.

If you go sli, dont get amd. i7 will stretch the legs of sli/crossfire better than amd.

With that said, so long as he isnt at 2560x1600 res, get a single 5870 and call it a day.

My bad, I was looking at some old benches for COD5 and not MW2, but those benches are outdated so I guess I'm wrong about the GTX 260 SLI outperforming the 295.

I was also pondering about the 5870, seeing as how Gigabyte sells one for $389, which is cheaper and easier than the GTX 260 SLI. The 5870 seems like more of a mature product than the Fermi does. Whatever, thanks for the input everyone.
