Just got BOINC installed and it seems to be all running. So far it's spitting out GPU tasks after a few seconds so looks like vlar kill is going to kill my credits :rain: OTOH I got 6 cores crunching now and I'll be upping the CPU clock a bit. (3.4GHz now)

My i5 is still running to push out unfinished work units. I turned off new tasks a few days ago and when i5 runs out it'll be shut off. It's running almost 200 watts at 100% CPU and idling GPU

Maybe later on I'll take out the 5850 and put in something NVidia in to get extra credits. Or I could replace it with some cheap GPU just for video and lower the power a lot.

Those Fermi's ought to be real beasts if you can get the kinks ironed out so they run like other GPUs ... :)

Haha they are real pita's, gives me such a head ache, I have tried nearly everything.

In the mean time you can use that 5850 on Collatz. The team is small right now, but still in the top 50 for RAC. I think you will be surprised at the RAC that 5850 would get on collatz. It loves ATI cards.

Yeah I crunched a collatz wu in 9mins and it gave me 700+ credit for the wu haha it was crazy.
