I was ordering the Gigabyte P55M-UD4, but now I am wondering if I am making a good choice since it has the foxconn socket and apparently its power phases are ill distributed etc..

Anyways, here are my requirements:

1. 8-Pin CPU power / i7 OC capable
2. LOTES socket
3. 16x PCIe
4. Cooling on power phases is bonus!

Boards I have looked at:

EVGA P55 Micro SLI - only has 8x PCIe
MSI H55M-ED55 - only has 4 pin power

Thanks!

Ok, I really want the EVGA,

Will 8x be enough for a GTX480 as long as the performance hit is low, I dont mind..
EDIT: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GTX_480_PCI-Express_Scaling = 2% average

and

My ram is 1.5V, and is not on the compatibility EVGA list for P55 boards - they suggest 1.65V - does this just mean they dont want anything above 1.65? Or does that mean they only support 1.65?

Thanks
