What kind of saw were you using?Plexi is hard to cut without breaking it that why I always use lexan.Maybe you can score it with a sharp razor and snap it.Thats how I always see them cut it at the hardware store.

i was using only the blade of a hack saw but the teath were the smallest i had. but it was cuting really well. What is lexan?

Lexan is the same stuff they use for police riot shields, its almost unbreakable and easier to cut with a saw but its also a bit more expensive tha plexi. If you have a sears hardware store by you they sell it there.Plexi cracks easy when you drill it also and lexan dont.

go that way would work.... should work... but you should do this using a metal ruler to guide your blade

you scrape it with the hook and it diggs real good and then you put it at the edge of a table and snap it off real easy
Anytime I'm making a long cut in plexiglass, I follow behind the saw with some duct tape pieces across the cut. This keeps you from puting too much stress on the remaining plastic, and helps keep it from wobbling all over. It makes it easy to handle the piece as you're finishing the cut too.
Just tear off 3 or 4 pieces from the roll ahead of time, and add them with your sawing hand as you go. (don't let go of the piece you're holding up!)
Man, I just love that duct tape!:p
i just use a jigg saw and go slow works fine for me. try getting a plastic blade too,

ok but what do you use if you have curves?

same thing man, a jig saw...
just go slow or make them cuts so that it doesnt break off
ok the blue is the plexi
the red is the thing your cutting out, well just ignore the whole thing only pay attention to the corner that is being rounded
then you make cuts up to the rounded thing
then when you cut around little peices fall off so their isnt weight to break it off and this will prevent your saw from locking up on it
