I'm planning on purchasing and swapping a Rampage III Board into my system in place of the Gene that I'm currently using. I need more slots! Anyway, from what I've read, it should be as simple as simply changing the hardware and booting up. Can anyone confirm? I'm running windows 7 64 professional.

not what you wanna hear, but i would re-install windows.

I've done Intel motherboard upgrades without re-installs. I just remove all the drivers(graphix, sound, etc.) before then re-install the drivers after the upgrade..
