I read where someone questioned the advisabilty of installing the operating system while in overclocked status. I tried this with Win Xp and got all kinds of goofy errors. I then reset my bios to normal settings and the install went perfectly. Just in case anyone would care to have this info.

I have ALWAYS installed my Os's while OC'd....

If you have a STABLE OC, you should not have any probs...

I have installed 98,NT,2k,XP,Linux all while OC'd... No prob..
On my server I installed 2k Advanced Server while OC'd also with no problems...

The only way to find out if it works is to do it. I've had a couple of installs go cleanly while oc'ed, but many more got buggered up. When in doubt, back off the oc.

I have heard both stories, you can you cant. So I tried it with my XP 1700 @1638mhz and got all kinds of buggers in there. I reset the bios to default settings and the install went off without a hitch. I guess some systems are just different. Mine wouldnt do it. If you have problems with installs back off...... install..... then go back to the OC settings you had before. Be sure to write them down before you change them...... I didnt and cant remember which setting s I had used,,,,, DUH, DUH....LOL

Good luck
