XP+Viewsonic

I switched to XP some time ago, now my Viewsonic A95f shows as plug and play, lower refresh rate max 85. With win98 I just installed the manufacture disc, and could set refresh rate much higher 115. Anywho XP won't read the disc and Viewsonic seems to have ignored the problem. Don't say check their website please, I do all the time. Any help anyone please?

Do you really need to set it higher than 85hz??

What is the difference between 85 and 115??

You can use power strip to manually set the resolution and refresh rates.

The freeware version? Couldn't do much with it, maybe I didn't check it out enough. Thanks Eric, and engjohn the reason too set it higher is because I can. No seriously I've noticed that the screen actually starts strobing at lower refresh rates which irratates my eyes. So I just want to set it at max. which I Know to be higher than 85hz.

dont know how fresh (refresh?) this is, as I own, tried, but did not prefer xp over 2k.

Well after reading that, No wonder my eyes have me been killing since XP. I thought it was my imagination, like the screen flashing problem. It's really bad at 60Hz which seems to be default. Unlike what the article says though I have no problem using the 85Hz setting but I know I could be at 115Hz. 85Hz hurts my eyes wah.:(
