Motherboards with Intel LGA775, LGA1156, and LGA1366 sockets ("Newer Intel Sockets" or singular form) should come with a plastic cap to cover the motherboard socket when processor is not to be installed into socket.
The plastic cap is meant to always cover Newer Intel Sockets when a Newer Intel Socket processor is not installed, even after removing a processor from socket.
The plastic cap is meant to always accompany motherboards with Newer Intel Sockets.
The plastic cap, however, does not always accompany a motherboard with Newer Intel Sockets. This is typically the case with royalty OEM computer vendors such as Dell, Hewlett-Packard (HP), etc.
What can, be used to protect the socket pins of socket LGA775, LGA1156, and LGA1366 motherboards when a socket cap is not included with a socket LGA775, LGA1156, or LGA1366 motherboard and a processor is not installed nor to be installed?
