I am glad to be in this forum, should have joined way long before, Hi to all!

Here is my question: I am buying this Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3, you can look at it here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128425, I have found this motherboard to be the one I need, but I wonder, has anybody used this for OC'ing? is it possible to have a Core i5-750 with the right air cooling system to reach or go beyond 3.8 Ghz?

This is is what's on my wish list:

* Raidmax Case and PSU Combo
* Gig P55-USB3 Mobo
* Intel Core i5-750
* Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
* GSkill Ripjaw 1333 4GB (10666) Ram
* XFX Radeon 4890
* WD 640 GB HD

Feel free to share your input, my concern is making sure I can do some real overclocking on this mobo, thanks in advance!

You should be fine to overclock with this board, it's very similar to what I'm running and I've overclocked to 4.2 ghz just fine.

You're gonna want to consider changing at least two things from your build, one would be the PSU (most PSU's that come with cases aren't very good, altho I have no personal experience with raidmax PSU's I wouldn't recommend it), the other would be your HSF.

If you're planning to overclock to 3.8ghz and up, and you don't want to spend too much on air cooling, I would go with the Cooler Master Hyper 212, it's a pretty good cooler and can be found as low as $20. If you're willing to spend a big more, I would go with they Scythe Mugen 2 ($35-40) or on the high end a Thermalright Venomous X ($50-70, try www.ewiz.com for deals on the VX).

If you're looking for a deal on PSU's, I would go with a OCZ 600w-700w, these can be found for around $40-50 if you look around, I've had good luck with OCZ's psu's and their customer service, but I'm sure others will say otherwise. Corsair and Seasonic-made brands are the best PSU's to get these days, you will probably be spending $80-100 on 600+ watts for one. Look on Newegg for other case/PSU deals, very often you can find a premium case with a decent PSU for the price of the case alone.

Another thing to consider is faster ram, you maybe limited in your overclock, you can usually find 1600mhz ram for around the same price as those ripjaws. If you want to mess around with overclocking your ram I would recommend the G.Skill Eco series, those seem to overclock well and run on low voltage.

Get a Caviar Black for your hard drive, it will be a bit faster and shouldn't be too much of a premium to get.

I appreciate your opinion, you are right when it comes to bundles, I just should have mentioned that the one I am buying its actually a combo discount, you can look at it here, I think is a very good PSU for the price they are running it right now, in MHO i think this is a darn good deal!: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.394478.

I was actually thinking to make a tweak on this config, I am going to consider this Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128412 I think its a much better board and will let me OC better, IMHO, the only question that comes to me is: as you can see on the specs for this board, it only takes: Memory Standard DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800, would be possible to use this G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303 if it is possible than I am building a better gaming system.

The idea with all these changes is basically keep the performance line within the budget, a few dollars won't heart but as long this makes a performance boost, again I would really appreciate your valuable opinion!
