Gigabyte has released its new high-end X58 motherboard. Dubbed GA-X58A-UD9, the board is of the football-field size standard we all came to know as XL-ATX. Nonetheless, guys in Taiwan managed to pack it from top to bottom with trivial stuff like 7x full-size PCI-E slots, 24 phases PWM and a chipset water block or oversized heatsink (at the user discretion). The board supports 4-way CrossfireX as well as the newly released 4-way SLI, thanks to the implementation of a pair of nForce 200 bridge chips.
The direct competitor that naturally comes to mind is EVGA's X58 Classified. The new GA-X58A-UD9 board is expected to cost over 400$ when it launches and we learned that Gigabyte does not directly offer mortgages.
