here is what i want to do but dont understand it completly.

i have a gaming pc upstars of my house
i have a gaming pc downstairs in the basement
me and some freinds have been playing battlefeild bad company 2 on these two computers but the voice talk seems to not work very good,im thinking we can voice chat together while playing the game with team speak, vent or the other one.

can you guys give advice on which one to use on this, and tell me some info on how to set this up.

or tell me if it will work at all while playing the game

im sure i will have to download the voice server on both pcs but dont know how to link both together for comunication while playing the game.

thanks for the advice on which one and the help on what to do to get it to work.;)

have you tried using xfire? Its free, easy to use and it has good voice quality, and you wouldn't have to dedicate 1 machine to be a voice server.

Don't set up anything. It's a messenger just like say msn but for gamers. It's as easy as going to voice chat setting up a room real fast with lik eone click and inviting friends off your friends list (on xfire) to it or they might be able to join without invite. works well for some quick and dirty voice chat.

If Xfire doesn't do the job, you could try Skype.

I use Skype to talk to my friends while gaming and it works great. It has great sound quality and low latency.

Use Skype. Best sound quality and easy to setup. Xfire is too bloated for what you need.
