Henry Rollins II

I now tried out using a few different burn speeds with my Plextor 24x IDE burner. Nothing special really - but the only media I have been using is the Kodak CD-R Ultima 80, certified for max 12x speed. I still have about 70 in jewel cases + they are pretty cheap.
I started out with 16x, then 20x and 24x. It all succeded without errors, have burnt 3 CDīs at 24x now. Time in total to burn 75 mins of music at 24x: 3 mins 30 sec(from hitting the "burn" button until the disc ejects).
The only thing burnt yet is audio material, I donīt know if it makes any difference. Burner is set at master on itīs own IDE channel. Burner software: Ahead Nero 5.5 Plextor version.
Maybe there is no need to replace your favorite CD media just beacuse it supposedly "not certified" for higher speeds. Worth trying out anyway. :)
regards,
Henry.
