Just had an x38 mobo crap out on me.

Packing a q6600.
4 GB ddr2 memory 800
2x9800GTX+ GPUs
6 SATA HDDs
2 Optical EIDE drives
1000 Watt PSU
All of which I want to use with the new mobo.

wut get?
 
how did you get sli working on a Intel chipset ?

Unless you want to upgrade every thing i would look around for a used 780i Mb .

Looong story. x3 Possible, but difficult. Involves certificates from the x58 mobos. Fun times.

That's what I was thinking as well. Too bad the closest one is... atleast 2 hours away. xD Much love for the second opinion though. Tankya!
 
I have had a 780i for over a year no problems and know 4 other with the same Mb .

But it might be worth looking into
