my fsb is set to 133 and the multiplyer is 11.5. When i increas the fsb and reboot the bios stops the sys and says that there is improper clock settings and the fsb is set to 100.
I have the bord set to jumper free mode . Do i have to change the multiplyer too? what about vcore its at 7.5
any help wouold be appreciated:D

I would think it might be possible but highly unlikely, and I wouldn't wanna pay the electric bill to keep all the fans going that your gonna need.

i'd say it depends on the air cooling a swifty might be able to keep temps cool enough if there is good circulation in the case also u would need to up the vcore and maybe a voltage mod to get more vcore tho i am not quite sure of this its just a guess to me since all i have is my 1600+ running at 1.7ghz :D water cooled but i know that some air cooling could get the temps i do

WOW! you got the same oc out of your 1600 as i have from my 1700. i'm aircooled now but looking to go to water and do a volt mod. think i could do the volt mod now and up it a little my load temps are only 43. what's the stepping on the 1600??
i was looking to get one but they were out at newegg the day i ordered and i was impatient to say the least *LOL*
and I hear that some of those xp1600s are breaking into the 1800Mhz range.

only thing stoping me from geting 1.8ghz is my ram :( 172fsb is just a little to much for my pc2100 crusial to take
Juliandogg my stepping info is in my sig just take a look :)

good thing u have yours unlocked then hehe
Not putting the board down though, it has been pretty good so far. It does point out some weaknesses in my system in that I need a higher quality ram to run cas2 at no more than 2.7v. This Crucial is good but I need more voltage to push it higher so I'm looking for better ram. The results at cas2 put it right around 2300 so bandwidth on the ram is good.
