Chrome will not open pages - spyware?

For some reason ever page I try to open using Google Chrome becomes unresponsive however IE seems to be unnaffected! I have tried a restore points, ran various spyware cleaners (Spybot S&D found several things), full AVG system scan and uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome but nothing works! :(

Any ideas?
