I'm sure many will find homes right next to a lag switch and whatever else cheaters like to use. Do people even have fun using this kinda crap?

They are probably counting on taking over the market. If PC super-shooters start flooding in, it is going to be very difficult for the controller folks to hang in there. At least as far as I can tell, handling a mouse+keyboard is a lot easier than a controller.

depends on the situation. For Fine control, nothing beats the mouse. For button mashing speed.... nothing competes with the ubiquitous controller.

I do not have any experience with a controller, for a rambo style FPS would a mouse/KB trump a controller? Say a game such as CoD4 who has the advantage?

It depends on the tracking/cursor speed. If the mouse+keyboard moves at the same rate is does on a PC (faster than a controller) then naturally it has an advantage. If it is limited to the same speed as a controller then I'd rather use the controller.

If it's anything like the 360 version of this cheat devce, it works only as fast as the controller can (on max sensitivity) but is WAY more controllable since it's always moving at maximum speed. Do that with a controller and you'll constantly overshoot stuff.

I don't expect it to last long. I am sure Sony will find some way to implement blocking this device.

If Sony try to block the device, they would get sued faster than a tiger bolting out of a salad bar. :D
Why would it be considered a cheat device? (I don't know anything about console devices. )

It may not be. We'll have to see if it's actually better than the controller in FPS games. As Rat said earlier, the 360 equivalent of this device wasn't.

I'm tempted. Last time I went back to play some FPS on PC and I was like OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's so much easier to play FPS on keyboard and mouse when compare to a controller... at least to me it is. Well, waiting for the reviews first before jumping into it.
And why would Sony want to block that out? All it does is less people buying their PS3 controllers, however will bring in a bigger user market for the PS3.

I dont really see how its cheating if everyone can play on a mouse and keyboard. I mean the whole mouse/keyboard seems at home on the PS3. It is more of a computer than than the xbox. It also allows people who cant afford to build a PC for all the new games to get the PC experience with their console. I for one would get it if I still played FPS on my PS3. I would hardly put it in the same category as a lag switch which is totally cheating.
I also agree Sony would get sued because being able to use a Keyboard and Mouse with the Ps3 is one of the selling points. Now what I think COULD be called cheating is the turbo button. I for one have not play MW2 so don't know how the aim mech work. But I would think that clicking once and then click again would cause more accuracy than holding down fire. So having the aim of a single shot with the speeds like you are holding it down is something that could cause issues.
But seriously, I bet less than 5% of the PS3 market gets one of these.

I know with cod4 and 5 (on pc) any type of autoclicking macro would give you the same speed as full auto but with no recoil. I'd imagine it would be similar on ps3.
How can you run a macro unless its programmed into the mouse? I like controller better for PS3 I seem to do just fine using it. If people wanna play using a mouse go ahead but I don't think it will be much of an advantage
And if you played MW2 you would know that single clicking won't benefit you because the recoil isn't that much and its basically one of those games where you just hold the trigger down. The pace is so fast you don't have time to click or tap the trigger like you do in Rainbow Six or other FPS

Thus the reason I don't play that game. I like a little skill requirement in my games.

This is just like the xbox 360 mouse and keyboard adapter I posted like 2 years ago. I bought one for the xbox 360 and it wasn't that great because the mouse and keyboard is limited to the ACTUAL controller which is much slower than a PC mouse. So your still limited by the controller. I found if I just spent a few weeks playing with the controller I got enough skill that I didn't need the adapter.
