Here look at that (http://www.bluled.co.uk/5110.htm) and tell me please if this thing is more or less easy to do for a guy that knows how to use a soldering iron, though not very expirienced... I've got the 5110 Nokia, and the LED mod really looks kewl, what u fink???

The only problem is that the phone is pretty new, and I don't have the funds to destroy it... So I'm really having second thoughts about doing this... but I'll post if I'll do it

if its a new phone, and you dont have $$$, i wouldnt do it. it cancels the warrenty if something happens.
think about it, and hopefully other people will give you input!

I agree with Cypher. Although it looks really cool, it would be a real shame if your phone got wrecked.

Guess I'll gonna have to practice then, heh?
I decided to do that in a couple o' months... the thing is that the guy lives in England prolly, & I live in Israel so it would be difficult/long to ship stuff.
I just did that mod with my 5185i....kind of....I bought a new board with the LED's already installed on eBay for like $20...it was much easier than me trying to solder those LED's to the board.
And it wont void your warranty, cause you can always switch the LED Board back to the original to have your phone serviced!

Seen places where you can buy a mod kit that will do just that, I'm guessing that you will not have to soder to get it to work.
