Does anyone know exactly how much thermal paste to use and how often i should change it? When i put on a new batch my pc temp will read at about 49c and about 2 weeks later it will read 62c.Is this normal.

First off, what type of paste are you using? I would suggest using Arctic Silver II or III instead of generic types of paste. That could be the problem with the temps going up after a while. Also, if you decide to use whatever you are using now, make sure that you don't have too much goop on your core cause too much is detrimental to your heat transfer from your core to your HSF. Just a very thin layer should do. Good luck and hope this helps.

I would say this belongs in the cooling section.

My ASII is still pretty solid from it's application in November. It shouldn't be doing that every two weeks. What kind are you using?

Make sure you apply a paper thin layer. Also make sure your HSF is seated properly.
