even when i go on banking sites it still doesnt load correctly. i can accept the new certs and i still cant log into yagoo mail without it looking like the above.

The more information button is there for a reason, but it does look like something is wrong. Your last screenshot is so botched that I can't even read the url properly (maybe gmail.com??).

Looking at the more information you will probably get information on what the real problem is:

- The certificate is not for the host you are connected to
- The certificate is expired
- The certificate is from an authority which is not trusted

Any one of these is a problem in this case, as those sites would not have problems with certificates - and if they did they would certainly not all have problems at the same time. Maybe you have some kind of virus which is changing your dns configuration and redirecting you to a fake address...

What ip addresses do you get if you try to ping the sites that show up in weird ways?

Is your system clock set correctly? If not you will get this on every single website, because it will think all of their certificates are out of date.

oh sweet... thanks.. i set it back a year a while back to create a timeline of something.
