Huge Pop in Xp Pro Boot Up?

When Xp Pro is booting up, I get a huge pop through my speakers. The pop always occurs during the XP splash screen. The loading bar stops, then pop, then continues booting. Has anyone heard of this, or know how to fix it? Thanks

Before I got my new mobo Monday, I had a S.B. Pro 16. When it would "pop" I just thought cheap card. I'm using the onboard C-Media 8738 on my new mobo and it's still doing it. :(
