I did enjoy playing it the first time and I enjoy a linear game occasionally but you could only move forward or backward, just was WAAAAY to much.

HL2:EP2 was mostly fairly linear but no where near as bad as Metro2033. I mean there was obviously the strider fight and searching around through the mines but all in all it was just "Go from A to B". But still you had a lot of freedom to move in and you often got to roam around.
