Does thermal paste go off?

I have some arctic silver 5 that must have been lying around for a good 5 years. (Since my last PC build - or perhaps the one before that.) Is is still safe to use, do you think?

I cannot think of a compelling reason on why not to do so? I have used 2.5 yr old AS5 before. No explosions (thus far). :)

gave a 8 yr old tube to my bro a year ago hes still using it now...

I think I still have some AS3 left over. Used it on plenty of GPU's and CPU's with no meltdowns ;)

If it's open to the air then I believe it'll dry (haven't had any new stuff dry but haven't got any older than a year :p) but as long as it's been kept out of the open air you should be fine :)
