I am having seriously issues with my 9600GT card on my LG HD 32" 3010 HDTV my 160GB drive died today so I bought a new 500GB and re-installed XP. I updated Direct X 9.0c with the latest June 10 version installed my graphics driver rebooted.

Upon setting my resolution to 1900x1080p (recommended by the driver) it will not stay in 32bit mode always goes to 8bit low colour profile. If I put it to 32bit it then swaps from 60hz to 24hz any program I run for exmaple I tried to install my HD Audio driver upon it loading and expanding to full screen to carry on installing it then caused my signal to be lost.

I must also state that with my old install of XP Windows Live Messenger would do the same if expanded to full HD res a few times???? Whats the issue here I am using a cheap DVI - HDMI cable but even my friend is using it on his ATI HD3870 card on a 46" HDTV no issues like Im getting.

Currently I have to use a normal PC 1280X720 @ 60hz res also when it used to work website would cause ripping when I used to scrool down, in this current res it's fine.

Try a different driver version...

What version of the driver are you using? Sounds like either it is a broken version or one that just isn't working the way you want.

It could be the Cheap DVI-HDMI cable had similar issue while back as the cheap cables are sometimes not HDMI 1.1 and that is what your TV HDMI is after buying better cable problem was resolved , this may be your issue too,

i have almost the exact same problem with my htpc hooked to my samsung 52incher. for what ever reason the latest drivers in win xp does this...

It just takes a lil messin with for what ever reason and sometimes it helps if you swap dvi ports.

This is probably the ONLY issue i have ever had with nvidia drivers.... on the other hand ati's drivers are a nightmare.

I'm using GeForce 197.45 (Win XP 32bit) going to roll back I think but now theres the 257.21's with hdmi audio so give them a try first.

UPDATE: The new 257.21's work perfectly went straight to 1920x1080p @60hz no problems thank god thats fixed wonder if the series 9 cards support the HDMI audio

Not to start a flame war or anything but I have my 5750 ( heavily OC'd) hooked up to my 62 inch sony and have no problems. The reason I mention this is because I'm using a 2 dollar HDMI-DVI cable with no problems.
