There was an outage and now my cable isnt working through the router but it is working plugged in directly from the modem.
I think Releasing the IP's might work but the problem is I don't have it setup with Obtain IP adress automatically and when I try to relase nothing happens. I have a lan ip adress for each comp and then the gateway EX. My router gateway is 192.168.0.1 one pc is 192.168.0.2 etc... I'm pretty sure I need to release or something related because my friend had the exact same problem but he is setup with obtain ip auto and releasing the ip worked for him.Can someone help me out? If not I'll reset the router. Anybody have a similar configuration? I continued this from another post cause no one else was responding.

Power off both the modem and the router. Power up the modem. When all the lights come one, power up the router. You should be grinning then.

You might also try releasing the WAN IP and renewing that. It sounds like your router is the problem.

Go with Kingslayers suggestion. If if does'nt work you could conntact tech support for the router company and get them to walk you thru release and renew for the router.

I really think the solution is the one put forward by Kingslayer though.
