I just thought I'd post about something I just learned about FrontPage 2002:

It does have compatibility problems with earlier versions of the server extensions.

I have been fighting with it for a week, and finally there is a MS knowledge base article: basically it can cause a themed page to show up multiple times in a browser window.
There are workarounds in the article, but a small problem: you need to edit the registry on the hosting IIS server, which does me no good at all.

If you use FP to publish on a webhost and use the extensions, I would recommend NOT upgrading to 2002 unless your host provider uses the 2002 extensions!

I am back int he year 2000. Is Frontpage 2002 anybetter? And besides new themes does it have any other new features?

You can do frames and framesets.
And you can royally hose a website that is hosted with the 2000 server extensions.

I'm still trying to get one fixed- permissions are also screwed up which is preventing me from altering some files that got messed up.

It is a bit better, a bit faster and a little nicer: just be careful of your webserver if you use a host provider.

I'm back to 2000 until ours upgrades!
