Hello there folks
just got a 100/100 fiber connection and my old Dir-615 didn't cut it any more. So fool like I am I searched for a bit and found out about dir-655 which should in theory have like 300 mbps throughput. I went and bought it but sadly I can't get my wireless over 40-50 mbps using local speedtest...
I have TP-Link TL-WN851N card in my rig and DIR-655.
I turned off, WISH, Traffic Shaping, WEP and WPA (no password) and QoS and a few other stuff. I set it to 20/40 Hz as well, but my wireless is at best 40% of my wired connection.
Perhaps I shouldn't expect so much. Never had this fast connection before but I thought some 70 mbps were realistic. No idea.
Any settings on my wireless card I could change perhaps?
For now I'm running with cable...
Distance between router and PC is some 2-3 meters with an wooden box in between.
Any tips would be welcome. Thank you for your time!
