Probelms with Norton`s Firewall 2002

Last week I bought a copy of Norton`s Firewall 2002. Well I got it today tried to install it and nothing. I get this instead " This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package". I tried to copy it to my hard drive and install from there and still nothing. On my one rig that runs Windows 98S.E. it installed without any problems, but on XP I get the error message.

Odd. I've not heard good things aobut Norton's Firewall, anyway. You might be better off going with ZoneAlarm. From what I've heard that's about the only one that's worth running. Nothing else really does anything...or it's incredibly invasive and likes to break things.

Everytime I download ZoneAlarm I have to uninstall it about a day or two later. I guess the reason I couldn't install was cause I had a trojan or a virus. This morning I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled XP. Now everything works fine.
