Anyone else buy the PSN Plus?

No point really.

I can get Infamous with it... but I can also go buy it at a store for 20 bucks. I've gone this long without cross-game chat... I'm willing to go the distance.

The PSN is so bad in its normal form that I am not inspired to shovel out any money for a slightly different version of it.

nope, other than little big planet multiplayer, i don't even use the play station network.

The cross-game chat... which was supposed to be PSN PLus' big draw... doesn't even work yet. So at the moment there's ABSOLUTELY no point to getting it.

Although I may do a 3 month plan since that's 17 bucks and it would cost me 20-30 to get infamous from a store. And this way I wouldn't have to worry about changing discs.

I am amused that you are so positive about buying a discounted multi-gig game on PSN and then downloading it, but you are very negative towards doing the exact same thing through Steam in your other thread here (http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647877).

At least the steam network doesn't operate at a snail's pace like the PSN does :D

I thought it not to bad of a deal. Nothing amazing, but so far I got value out of it. I got the year plan + free 3 months. Cost like 53.something after tax.

So far I got an ok value for the month. Rallycross (PSone), WipEOut HD, some tower defense game and an episode of Qore. Few things else I checked out.
Now value is subjective on what is good or not. So there is plenty of room for debate in what games and content are good or not. By my rough calculations. It comes to about 3.50 or so a month. Now If I get a few games free, odd content and get what looks like a 2 or 3 dollar discount on some games. Each month, not a bad deal. Long as I average over four buck value each month.

Yup, I'll get it once I'm back in my home around Sept. Til then I can't even play the PS3. It's got some good deals.

Think I'll wait a year till it gets better I have never bought a console on launch I always wait a year (take the 360 fiasco) and I'll do it with this.
