I'm trying to install an asus p6x58d-E into my brand new antec 902 case, but I'm running into problems getting the holes to line up.

1) Yes, I have removed the default I/O shield that came with the Antec, and Yes, I have installed the I/O shield that came with the motherboard.

The I/O shield is in as tight as it will get (popped into place and all that), but the motherboard can't get close enough to slot in the atx holes and secure it.

I'm at a loss as to what to do next -- what are my options, guys?

That's strange, that case supports ATX form factor so I can't see why it wouldn't line up for you. How much is it off? Can you upload a picture for us?

upon further investigation, it appears as if the I/O shield itself is bent, or otherwise defective, because it doesn't seem to be "popping in" to the Antec properly.

Guess I'm going to call up Asus and ask for a replacement. :(
