Hi,

Im in the middle of setting up my new system. The way it works is, everything is HDMI driven, going into an Onkyo amp, which then outputs audio over the speakers and puts the video onto the screen.

The problem that im left with is my computer. Ideally, my computer would output HDMI (including audio). However, it ouputs sound from the sound card, and video from the video card over DVI. Im not against buying a new video card, although I wont if I dont have to.

How can I do this?

What video card do you have? My 4890's have an HDMI port and the ATI CCC drivers have audio drivers to send audio over the HDMI output of the video card.

On the flipside, if you only have DVI out and want to use that sound card then why not just send the DVI to the TV and the audio to the reciever? You probably won't notice a difference between the two if you could compare them anayway (probably better S/N for the sound actually).
