Just got new computer with Win 7 and in trying to get my E-Mail on the DT I found the MS didn't include Outlook Express with W7. I got the support guy to connect me to the web using Outlook 2010. I never knew that there were several versions of Outlook before 2010. Any way I bought Outlook 2010, the one that came with the computer is/was good for only 30 days or so. I have been trying to import from Outlook express all of my addresses and I have not been able to figure out how, IF there is a way. Also using Outlook Express when ever to replied to any one their address was added to you Address book, if it wasn't already there.

Question one>> Is there a way to transfer the addresses to Outlook 2010 from outlook express?

Question2 >>Is there a way to save addresses to your address book when you reply.

This may not be the place to ask these ?? but please bear with me.
TIA

As far as exporting your contacts/addressbook:

File-->Import and Export-->Export to a file-->Comma Separated Values (windows)-->Contacts-->name the file and browse to the location you want to save it

You will have to repeat the process if you also want your calendar entries...

Then to import this CSV file to your new outlook:

File-->Import and Export-->Import from another program or file-->Comma Separated Values (windows)-->Browse to the saved exported CSV you just created.

For question # 2, I'm not sure if there is a way to make this happen automatically as it does in some webmail such as gmail.

I too don't know the answer to your questions, we just moved from 2003 to 2007 at work and I use gmail at home.

But... fun fact for future reference so you don't have to pay for outlook again if you need it on another computer -- Outlook Express was renamed Windows Live Mail in the latest couple versions to go with Microsoft's recent (few years now?) "Windows Live _____" naming scheme.
