Hey, I went to Walmart today and got the Bilge pump

V500, model 4204, I was also reading the papers that came with it and its good to know if it's too powerful for my lines I can always put my reservoir 3.3 feet below the system and achieve 350gph instead..

I have a few questions tho.. exactrly how did you get a 3/8 barb on there ? and could you tell me what brand you used ? I'm assuming yo ujust gooped it on there or something ?

also... how would I go about hooking this thing up ?? sorry I've never worked with anything but AC pumps... and all this one has is a black wire and a brown wire :eh?:

Also.. is it safe to mount is "flat" just sitting up ? I would assume so cause of the holes on the base, etc but want to make sure

if you could explain what you did maybe you can help me out, thanks.

That's funny. I just went to walmart today also and bought the Attwood 4204 v500 bilge pump. 10 bucks... woohoo.

What I did was I bought a 2 inch piece of 3/4" hose and clamped it to the plastic piece coming out of the pump. I then put a 3/4 barbed to threaded. Next a coupling. Next a thread to 3/8 barbed fitting. Then clamped a 3/8 hose to that. This also makes it a little awkward to try to fit it in my case so I decided to gut out an old AT case and put it in there. It's running right now sitting in a 1 gallon fish tank inside the case. I got the 3/8 hose going into my computer case and just coming back out, going back to the fish tank. Tomorrow I will shop for a heater core. Maybe monday my waterblock will be in.

Man I love this stuff.

Print what I wrote there and take it to your local hardware store. Bring your bildge pump. Give the guy that works there the paper and he will give you what you need. I lost my freekin connector that goes from my digital camera to the puter. So sorry, no pics.
