The Crosshair IV has a built in X-Fi card built in & its pretty decent, why would u need another sound card?:screwy:

You don't have to keep asking if the specific hardware is compatible with your motherboard, just check to see what interface the card is (in this case, sound card) if the sound card uses a PCI-E x1 slot then see if your motherboard has an x1 slot. But as Thomas said above, the motherboard is equipped with an onboard x-fi so you're fine.

You don't need a sound card, your mobo has on-board x-fi sound.

See the audio ports in the green box :D

EDIT: Plus, optical S/PDIF out beside the USB3 ports. Forgot to mark it.
