Nice. BR burners are starting to get to the point where I might start looking into one. $110 is still a bit far off, but better than when I first started looking.

With the software and free shipping it's probably the best deal for a new drive yet.

Just bought a pioneer burner for $150 for someone, and the software sucked.

Ordered one of these just now hope it don't suck ;)
Red Blue 3d glasses ftw.

Me too.

Besides, the media has to follow in price as well.

In the meantime, I bought a BR reader for my new HTPC and for now, that's good enough for me since I only have a 1080i HDTV.I am holding out for 50$ it will happen sooner than later... :)

Wow. Wish I could return my drive and get this.

Got the exact same drive.

Oh well. 50 bucks more but that was like 6 months ago.

I'm over it.

Just for the record (when we come back in 5 years when the new, 1TB/disk media is out), a 25GB Blu Ray disk is about $1.667/disk.

I just hit up the deal on the drive. I swear it was $119 - $20 with promo (so $99!!)... but I can't seem to find it again.

Edit: :bang head $20 was for something else... been a long long week at work...

I have been watching these drives myself with much interst for a while. As an early adopter of HD DVD I have 100+ movies I need to back up to Bluray. Even some of the first 1080 porn lol. Do ya'll think the time has come for me to finally bite on this drive. I think my current pc along with the LG drive and Any DVD HD would let me do my backups for a reasonable cost. If this is a hijack please call me out so I can start a new thread. Thanks

Did the pioneer come with the same software as the LG in this thread?
CyberLink PowerDVD 9, 3D edition is what comes with the LG
