Does the ASUS P6X58D Premium take DDR3 1800 sticks?
If not what would be the next best thing 1600 or 2000?

It should take 1800 sticks. But it says that it natively supports up to 1600mhz. This means it can go up to 1600mhz without overclocking. You can however put a 1800 or 2000mhz sticks in the board and overclock to their clocks. For example: My board supports 1333mhz natively but can overclock to 2000mhz. I use 1600mhz sticks so with overclocking I got it to 1600 and even 1700mhz. So don't worry it will take them.
Also the 2000mhz memory will definitely be better than 1800mhz, just try to get a stick with low latencies.

I would just purchase the 1600 you probably will not overclock any higher than that. Memory speed faster than 1333 does not offer real world performance gain. Save the money for something else.:)
