ME or XP need some help

ok, I am not as lucky as some people to be able to run right out and buy whatever OS i can, I have ME, can get XP. running on the systems in my signature, and they are networked which should I choose? I do some gaming on mine, and the kids, thats pretty much all they do. I went to install XP on a PII 333 system (my new pet project). Is it on the same base as 2000? I got an error when i went to install (cant be run in DOS) or is it on its own platform? help plz

Yea its pretty much Win2k with some new features and some bloat.

For gaming though, go with XP.

To install it from dos:

Have smartdrv running, cd to i386 on the xp cd, type winnt.exe

the cd is bootable.... just boot from it and install
