I want to design a waterblock somewhat inspired by spode abode and his sunny botle. I realized that if i could analyze some water blocks and see the various delta-T in them (water - copper, copper-CPU) I could refine the design, so i would ask you guys to publish this data on any system you have had:
core temp
water temp
block temp
CPU power (or model voltage and speed)
block used (I'll have to get inside pictures and all kind of measures, probably I'll have to figure them out from external size and pictures; one important feature is internal surface)
My idea is to have a block a little bigger than the core with eliptically shaped slots about 0.2cm wide and 1.0cm deep and water coming right onto it and exiting by the sides.
Channels would form sharp edged fins and the carved section of block would be about 0.5 cm larger than core to each side. The inlet will be a copper tube with 0.6cm walls right above. I will leave a really thin bottom: about 0.1cm (1mm).
The cross section is circular in the upper part and it becomes square as it nears the slotted part
I made a crude drawing; but I did not draw the outlet portion of block. The idea is to have inlet function as a cooling part also and have some texture in the walls.
I would appreciate very much requested data and comments.
