Im still mad about my high temps and I think its due to the IHS's which I'm almost ready to call Ol'man and have him cut them off for me. Seriously Taking off the Glaciator IIs might prove to be impossible or close to it. Tight fit. If anyone has .18 micron p3's with IHS's please post your full load temps and your heatsink specs. thanks

CPU1 Temps 39-40
HS Glaciator II

CPU Temps 44-45
HS Glaciator II

Also somebody please tell me if I have to worry about these temps or if its ok because its driving me nuts.

Worry no - but you could probably do a little better with the IHS taken off. Intel puts some kind of thermal compound underneath that so in the end it's a little like two layers of heatsinks with thermal compound.

Thanks TC. My rig runs fast enough as it is but I'm use to way lower temps since my last p3 had no cap.

Hey, my P3 1000E @ 1.33GHz that did not come with an IHS has load temps of 44/45°C and idles at around 33/34°C and is stable. Case temp is now about 24°C since I put dryer sheets on the intake fans as filters. 22°C case temps w/o the sheets.

Those temps are with an SK-6 w/ 60mm 38cfm Delta... An 80mm 50cfm Sunon fan on the HS made no difference.

I actually think my Asus CUSL2 mobo reports temps higher than they are.
