This is my first attempt at unlocking the processor, I used the highspeedpc.com unlock kit. My problem is when I set the multiplier to 12, the computer wont start at all, the power goes on but no video activity or beeps. When I set the multiplier at 12.5/13, everything works fine. Does this mean that I screwed up on a bridge? The kit I'm using isn't perminent so I can re-do it if necessary.

SPECS:
XP 1800+
Soltek SL75DRV2
512MB Mushkin CL2 PC2100 DDR
GeForce 2 Ultra

thanks

yeah I would clean out the pits and try again and see if this solves your problem.

Did you try any other multis? I had all of mine for about an hour or so, and then lost all of the .5's. I'm assuming that the heat caused that somehow.
