Well I feel like a moron having trouble with seti like this, i installed it, said for it to always use my comp, registered... and now for the last 20 minutes ive been sitting here staring at a message that says 'Getting Data - Connecting to Server' How long does it take to connect to their server?!?!?

Berkeley is having loads of bandwidth problems right now. Look through the other threads here for an explanation. Best bet is to just keep trying. We're all suffering with the same problem.

Once you do get connected: set your cache to a pretty high level, at least a few days worth of work units. That way even if you can't connect when you complet a wu you can keep crunching!

I have cache set to 40 on most of my computers.

Try to connet to Berkeley between 10 pm and 10 am PST.....that way you can skip the bandwidth problem currently hitting SETI@home

Are you using a caching program such as Seti Driver? If you are only using the client then I suggest you get Seti Driver.
