Hello,

I'm using the following wireless adapter and am getting really bad performance.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833156054

I've had it for a couple weeks and it's always had periods where it just stops working. I feel like it could be because of its proximity to my graphics card, but I haven't been able to correlate the problem to gaming. Right now, for example, it's connected with 4 bars to my home wireless n network with WPA-2 encryption, but it's not able to access the internet at all (there's no notification in the task bar will the yellow exclamation point, and the status says "internet access"). The computer I'm typing this on is right next to it, connected to the same network, and is working just fine. Could this really be a heat issue from the gpu, or is there something else I could troubleshoot first?

Heat could be an issue but usually drivers present more of a problem. Are you using the latest manufacturer supplied drivers? Also try changing your wireless channels to see if it helps. Use netstumbler to check for broadcast interference in the same channel.
