Hi,
I am new to hardwares and want to build a computer with i7 930.
The hardwares I choosed for now are:

CPU: i7 930
Mobo: P6X58D-E
Memory: 3x2GB Corsair dominator DDr3, 12800/1600
Case: Corsair obsidian 800D
cpu-fan: NH-D14
GPU: HD 5850 toxic
PSU: Cosair HX850

But I am not sure if P6X58D-E is good enough for i7 930? Cos I want to learn how to overclock and try to get 930 more than 4Ghz. And are there anything else I need to change in this setup?

Thanks a lot :)

The Asus P6X58D-E and the Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R/Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 are mobo's i'd recommend to get the most out of an i7 930.

hi and :welcome: to the forums :)

P6X58D-E is making 220bclk stable but all depends from cpu. I was testing only 1 i7 930 and it was making about 205bclk with 23 multi so for 24/7 use above 4GHz is more than possible. My i7 920 is running on 4.2GHz+ and it's not really good chip.

thanks a lot Remeniz and Woomack for the advise. :)

Personally I do prefer the mobos from Gigabyte, but P6X58D-E sells quite well in Sweden, plus the price is also good. So I guess I'll go for it.

PS: i just started to learn the hardwares from this summer, and people on this forum are so friendly and pro :)
